Resiliency
Another Unstoppable assignment for the week is to take Al Siebert’s Resiliency Quiz and reflect on the score.
My quiz score indicates that I’m very resilient. I am fairly certain that my upbringing set me up for this. Resiliency is a big concept that my father - a paramedic and union leader - talked about a lot. Growing up with his ideas of resiliency set me up well, so I definitely agree with the interpretation of the results for me.
The part that I’m weak about is recovering emotionally from losses and setbacks. However, the older I get, the better I get about recovering from losses and setbacks emotionally. I’m an emotional person - after all, Cancerians are emotional in nature. So the recovery for me is a little slower, due to how close I am to my emotions.
The older I get, the more I understand my emotional and logical cores, and the more my logical core comes out, putting the emotional core in second fiddle.
